Harold Tate started the business in 1969 as
Tate Fabricating Company, Inc. with a small loan
from his Grandmother. It grew from a small
fabrication shop in the back of a Gas station in
downtown White House, TN to 3 facilities in White
house, TN and one facility in Kyle, Texas that
total approximately 200,000 square feet providing
employment to over 150 families across the
United States. The Ornamental division was started in 1988 and in 1994 Harold sold out of Tate Fabricating Company to his brother Ronnie Tate and kept The Ornamental division at which time the name was changed to Tate Ornamental, Inc. Harold really enjoys the Ornamental Metals, custom Millwork and Granite because the quality that he has based his company on is out there for everyone to enjoy. The Structural steel was always hidden behind the other trades.
Joey Tate graduated from the university of Alabama in 1988 at which time he returned to White House and began working with ornamental metals. He was promoted to President of Tate Ornamental, Inc. in 1994 when the buyout process took place. Tate Ornamental expanded into custom millwork in 1995 manufacturing handrail caps, spiral stairs, and custom cabinets for both the residential and commercial markets. Tate expanded once again in 2002 to fabricate solid surface, granite and quartz countertops, and that growth is now known as Tate Ornamental, Inc. Kitchen & Bath Division. |
